OOS Requirements

As a Scouting event, we will require certain requirements to be met in order for an OOS to attend.

Those requirements will differ between Adult and Youth, so please check the charts below.

Adult OOS

  • ZA valid Scouts Canada member, with an active MyScouts record
  • ZCompleted Code of Conduct
  • ZA valid Police Records Check
  • ZA valid active Scouter role
  • ZAttended the required pre-event information sessions

Youth OOS

  • ZA valid Scouts Canada member, with an active MyScouts record
  • ZCompleted Code of Conduct
  • ZThe role explained to them (following registration as OOS)
  • ZAttended the required pre-event information sessions

Non-Scouts Canada Adult OOS will be reviewed individually following your registration, to ensure that you meet the participation requirements.

Youth OOS will not need to complete Respect in Sport or Scouting Fundamenetals, however any active Youth Scouters will be warmly welcomed as well! As youth will be participating in the event with their Colonies and those Scouters, they will be supervised with their youth interactions.

Note: The event team will review all registrations, and will individually approve OOS. While we need OOS to run the event, we also need to review how applicants will fit in with the team, roles, and skills needed.

Any questions?

PLEASE reach out to us below – we’d love to make sure that we answer any questions you may have.

We will do our best to make sure that you have as much fun as our Beavers at the event!
